These are collected so we can get in touch with you to address any issues you raise. Other information is optional and is only collected to help us tailor our communication. The legal basis of this processing is – depending on the context – the consent you give to answer your request, our legitimate interest to keep a good relationship with the people who are interested in what we do and who support us, or to perform a contract you are requesting.

  • To receive information from us

If you use the form to ask us to provide more information about CuraVac, its projects and services, we will send you information and updates (our Newsletter) no more than 12 times a year. The legal basis of this processing is your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails you receive.

(b) Information we receive from third parties

  • In the framework of a donation

When making a donation through the PayPal portal on our website, some information is transmitted to us such as the name and email adress linked to your account, the amount you donated, the time and date of your donation and the payment method used (credit card or PayPal account). This information is kept for management and statistical purposes (based on your legitimate interest). It is also processed for accounting and audit purposes (based on our legal obligations).

We can use your data to thank you for making a donation. We can also contact you in the coming years to see if you want to donate again. Your data is then processed in our legitimate interest. You can ask us at any time to stop sending these requests by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link or by sending an email to info@curavac.com

(c) Other data processing

We also process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To perform audits (the legal basis is the legal obligation to perform legally required audits; it is our legitimate interest when we perform an audit that is not legally required).
  • To create reports and statistics: we create these for our legitimate interest. We anonymise the data in our reports and statistics.
  • For back up and archiving purposes: in our legitimate interest, we back-up our data. Data can also be archived. For instance we archive our emails which can contain requests from you.

We do not share any of the information you give us with any third parties except if we have a legal obligation to do so. We have the obligation to share the information about your donation(s) with our external accountant.
