CuraVac MG vaccine is the first vaccine to offer a therapeutic effect on an autoimmune disease.

CuraVac MG vaccine is also the first treatment to offer a cure for myasthenia gravis as opposed to "keeping it under control" by medication.

When CuraVac MG vaccine has successfully completed phase 1 and 2 clinical trials, the value of the company will increase significantly.

CuraVac intends to develop further autoimmune vaccines, including ones for multiple sclerosis and diabetes type 1. These should be ready for phase 1 trials by the time CuraVac MG has completed phase 2.

The value of the company will be further augmented by the potential of the second-generation vaccines.

The estimate for occurrence of MG is about 1.5 to 2 in 10,000. This provides a patient base of more than 100,000 in the USA, Europe and Japan. The number of undiagnosed sufferers in those populations could be 3 times higher.
